Given that Pages also does publications such as brochures and newsletters and mentions in its opening screen (at least when choosing a template) that it offers templates for Word Processing and Page Layout, inferring that it should be able to perform these functions to a certain adequacy. My implication lies in my previous use of such applications as MS Word (a word processor that can perform my required function), MS Publisher, MS PowerPoint and DTP applications such as Adobe PageMaker ('which is the ideal page layout program for (those) who want to create high-quality publications such as brochures and newsletters') that can also create my desired 'curved text'. This process doesn't allow me much flexibility in modifying the text or the curvature after the fact. This works but is archaic, believing that Pages should be robust enough to perform this function as well, given it's claim to being a Word Processing/Page Layout product.
I have previously done this by using Word, creating the necessary text in WordArt and then copying it to my Pages document. Powerpoint For Mac Creating Curved Text In Microsoft I found the rotate commands but nothing for my current need. Is there some key combination that will allow me to modify (click/drag) the Text Box containing my text to create a curve. I'm trying to create some documents and am in need of adding some curved text (similar to WordArt) in Pages. Create colourful, progressive elements in any business presentation using the Office template.
But that's usually not what we actually mean. And even when we do plan to add something eventually, I prefer to say things like "we might look to add this in the future, but we also might not." just because people invariably interpret phrases like "we're planning to add this in the future" as "it'll be in Pixelmator Pro within the next 6 months". And while we do read pretty much every request on almost every major platform and take them into account (and add them to our rather extensive feature request list), we do have to prioritise things and this is where disagreements begin.
Just kidding! We aren't at all that cruel and the truth is this is by no means a simple feature to do and do well. By Andrius 11:52:42 Legend has it that every time someone complains about Pixelmator Pro not having text on a path, we delay its release by another month out of spite.
